Terms of Service

Scope of services

TaxTechFS provides tax preparation, e‑filing, bookkeeping, payroll, and related advisory services. We will perform services based on the information you provide and applicable law.

Your responsibilities

Electronic delivery & signatures

You consent to receive documents electronically and to sign electronically where permitted. We will store timestamped records of your e‑signatures. You may request paper copies at any time.

Use of tax return information (IRC §7216)

We will not use or disclose your tax return information except as permitted by law or with your signed consent(s). When required, we will present you with separate Consent to Use and Consent to Disclose forms before proceeding.

Fees & payments

Fees are communicated in advance or agreed in writing. Invoices are due upon receipt unless otherwise stated. Certain services may require a deposit. Third‑party payment processors handle card data on our behalf.

No legal or investment advice

Our services include tax compliance and related advisory. We do not provide legal or investment advice. You should consult appropriate professionals for those areas.

Accuracy, audits & notices

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided. We will assist in responding to tax notices related to our work, subject to an engagement scope and fee agreement.

Confidentiality & security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption, access controls, MFA for staff, and audit logging, consistent with the FTC Safeguards Rule and IRS Publication 1345.

Limitations of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaxTechFS is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the services is limited to the fees paid for the applicable engagement.

Termination

Either party may terminate services upon written notice. You remain responsible for fees incurred to date and for any third‑party costs already committed.

Governing law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws principles.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and post the new version at this URL. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
